Tata's Managing Director Selected for Corporate Leadership Award
May 10, 2012 HM Nerurkar, Managing Director, Tata Steel, was recently conferred with the Maxell Foundation & Maharashtra Corporate Excellence Award. The award, instituted for the first time, was presented to him by Hon'ble Chief Minister, Maharashtra, Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, at a function held in Mumbai.
Nerurkar received the award for his admirable leadership qualities. During his illustrious career spread over four decades, he has faced numerous challenging moments and has overcome them through his leadership abilities supported by patience and perseverance, according to Tata.
Maxell Foundation stated, "Being the Managing Director of the flagship Tata Group company, Mr. Nerurkar has exemplified outstanding leadership qualities and shaped up the company for taking on any challenges in the future and also has seen sustainable growth which can be expressed in monetary terms.
