Posco-ICT Signs MOU with Kibar Holding in Turkey
Jan. 20, 2012 Posco-ICT recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kibar Holding and Daewoo International, pledging to promote local business cooperation.
The groups was established the Memorandum of Understanding with Kibar Holding of Turkey to promote the smart grid, LED, BHS, PSH, and e-government businesses on a local basis. Kibar holding, whose business portfolio comprises steel, auto, trade and logistics, has worked with Posco to build STS and galvanized steel sheet manufacturing plants in the region.
The Memorandum of Understanding will enable Posco-ICT to seek an advantage in expanding its steel manufacturing business as well as other main operations in Turkey.
Posco ICT also announced that it had recently held a ceremony in Gaziantep and Bolu of Turkey to celebrate completion of an LFG power plant. The facility uses landfill gas generated in Gaziantep and Bolu to supply power to residences. According to Posco, the plant is capable of providing stable power supply to some 6,700 households.
