ISRA Vision Parsytec to Supply Surface Inspection for China Steel EGL
Feb. 23, 2009 China Steel Corp., Taiwan, has awarded a contract to ISRA Vision Parsytec to supply a surface inspection system for their production site in Kaoshinung.
ISRA Vision Parsytec will install the surface inspection system— espresso SI in a Bright-Darkfield Surface Sensor configuration using matrix cameras—on the Kaoshinung facility’s electrolytic galvanizing line.
China Steel Corp also ordered the Live View feature, which will allow the mill operator to put defects in the right context by providing an overview of the entire strip. ISRA Vision Parsytec will also supply state-of-the-art classifier software—the Classifier Build Environment (CBE)—that enables the intuitive development of a classifier in a tenth of the previously required time.
The software will enable optimized, fast classification results for enhanced decision support at the line, allowing the company to facilitate immediate corrective countermeasures and secure shipments at the highest levels of production quality for their Electrolytic Galvanizing Line.
