New Process Boosts Productivity at ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni
Jul. 22, 2010 - ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni is one of only a few stainless steel mills using “S-6-high” rolling technology integrated on strip processing lines. Following installation at the beginning of 2010 and completion of the ramp-up phase, the new two-stand rolling mill is now running at full capacity.

Yichang Three Gorges Orders Air-Knife Systems from FOEN
Apr. 29, 2010 - Yichang Three Gorges has placed an order with Fontaine Engineering und Maschinen (FOEN) for the supply of six air-knife systems inclusive of the electrical and automation package. The systems are to be integrated into six hot-dip galvanizing lines.

voestalpine Continues to Invest in Linz
Apr. 28, 2010 - voestalpine Stahl GmbH continued its EUR 700 million investment program “L6” in the 2009/10 business year, despite the poor economic climate. About one-half of all the L6 projects, which extend the annual crude steel production from 5.5 million to approximately 6 million tonnes, were implemented.
