World Crude Steel Production Dips 4.4% in June
Jul. 22, 2010 - World crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the world steel association stood at an estimated 118.76 million tonnes in June 2010 — a 4.4% decrease from the previous month (May 2010) and an 18.0% increase vs. June 2009.
Metals Shipments Accelerate in June 2010
Jul. 21, 2010 - Year-over-year growth of steel and aluminum shipments from U.S. and Canadian metals service centers continued at double-digit rates in June, according to the latest Metals Activity Report from the Metals Service Center Institute.
May Steel Shipments up 4.1% from April
Jul. 19, 2010 - U.S. steel mills shipped 7,345,455 net tons for the month of May 2010, a 4.1% increase from the 7,057,660 net tons shipped in the previous month and a 71.6% increase from the 4,281,986 net tons shipped in May 2009 according to the latest report from AISI.

May World Crude Steel Output up 2.9% from Previous Month
Jun. 22, 2010 - World crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the World Steel Association stood at an estimated 124.18 million tonnes in May 2010 — a 2.1% increase from the previous month (April 2010) and a 29.1% increase vs. May 2009.

April Steel Shipments Down 7.7% from March
Jun. 17, 2010 - U.S. steel mills shipped 7,057,660 net tons for the month of April 2010, a 7.7% decrease from the previous month and a 74.6% increase from the 4,042,457 net tons shipped in April 2009, according to the latest report from AISI.
April World Crude Steel Output Nearly 36% above Last Year
May 21, 2010 - World crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the World Steel Association stood at an estimated 121.65 million tonnes in April 2010 — a 0.4% decrease from the previous month (March 2010) and a 35.7% increase vs. April 2009.
Service Center Metal Shipments Maintain Momentum through April
May 19, 2010 - April shipments of steel and aluminum from U.S. and Canadian metals service centers continued to build on this year’s growing upward momentum, according to the latest Metals Activity Report from MSCI.
March Steel Shipments up 21.2% from February
May 18, 2010 - U.S. steel mills shipped 7,646,938 net tons for the month of March 2010, a 21.2% increase from the 6,311,076 net tons shipped in the previous month according to the latest report from AISI.
