World Hyundai Steel to Start Construction of No. 2 Steel Plate Plant in July

It is reported that South Korean Hyundai Steel plans to start the construction of its No. 2 steel plate plants in July 2012.

The designed annual production capacity of the No. 2 steel plate plant is at 1.5 million tonnes.

Hyundai Steel is scheduled to run the test for the facilities in April 2013 and begin the production in August 2013.

Hyundai Steel is currently installing an additional rolling mill in the No. 1 steel plate plant in order to enhance the annual production capacity to 2 million tonnes from the current 1.5 million tonnes.

The company plans to begin the installation in September 2012 and to run the test in December 2012 and January 2013.
