Baosteel Leadership Training Center under Construction
Jan. 11, 2010 Baosteel has started construction on its leadership development center in Changshu Municipality, Jiangsu Province. The company intends for the center to be a venue for holding important annual meetings and promoting vital management reforms; a location for Baosteel and related industry strategy development research, discussion, subject investigation, management, and technology reflection; and a site for Baosteel external activities.
More than 100 people attended a ceremony marking the occasion, including Vice General Manager of Baosteel Group Corporation Fu Zhongzhe; Director of Baosteel Engineering Technology Committee, Vice General Manager of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Zhao Zhouli; member of CPC Standing Committee of Changshu, Executive Vice Mayor Xu Yongda; Shanghai Greenland Construction (Group) Chairman Tan Deqin; and representatives from relative Baosteel departments.
The Baosteel (Changshu) leadership development center project is a continuation and renovation of the former Baosteel employee education and training center, with planned total land use of 230,000 m2. Major construction—of a main building, training center, research and study hall, students' boarding house, and other buildings with floorage of 36,900 m2—is expected to be completed in just under a year.
