Hubert Max Köbach has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Morgan Construction Co. and head of Siemens VAI Metals Technologies Long Rolling Business, replacing Philip R. Morgan on January 4, 2010.
Morgan has assumed a consulting role with the Worcester, Mass., company he led as President and CEO for 23 years. Morgan Construction, which specializes in high-speed long rolling, heavy duty bearings (Morgoil), and rolling mill equipment including aftermarket services, was acquired by Siemens in April 2008.
Köbach has been with Siemens since 1987 in various positions, including application engineer, project director, and business unit manager. Since 2000, he has worked within the Siemens U.S. organization. He was named Chief Operating Officer of Siemens VAI MT SM Long Rolling in October 2009.
Köbach holds an electrical engineering degree from the Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) Dortmund-Hagen, Germany, and underwent a three-year apprenticeship in plant and machinery.
